Joseph Wyleta Obituary

Joseph R. Wyleta, age 71, of Cary, IL, passed away on February 11, 2026. He was born August 15, 1954 in Berwyn, IL to his loving parents, Richard and Adeline (née Korinek) Wyleta.

Joe graduated from Prospect High School in Mt. Prospect, Illinois, Class of 1972. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from Western Illinois University in 1976, laying the foundation for a life shaped by dedication and hard work.

A devout Christian, Joe’s faith was an important part of his life. He faithfully attended prayer groups and participated in Cursillo when he was able, drawing strength and fellowship from his spiritual community.

In his younger years, Joe had a wide range of interests and hobbies that reflected both his creativity and adventurous spirit. He loved music and enjoyed playing the piano. He found peace in fishing and excitement on the tennis court and ski slopes. At home, he took pride in remodeling his basement and carefully setting up his stereo equipment, always striving for the perfect sound. He also enjoyed working on cars, appreciating both the craftsmanship and the satisfaction of a job well done.

Above all, Joe will be remembered for his loving nature, his steady faith, and the joy he shared so freely. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched with his kindness and humor.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Adeline Korinek, Richard A. Wyleta, and Angeline (née Iacobazzi) Wyleta. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Margaret (née Wild) Wyleta; siblings, Anthony “Tony” Wyleta and Julie (Jonathon) Alexander; aunt, Lucille “Lu” (Bob) Wyleta; cousins, Susan (Frank) Stryzek, Robert (Nancy) Wyleta, and the Iacobazzi cousins, Jeffrey, David, Monica, and Lisa; and nieces and nephews, Samantha (Ryan) McCoy, Kate Alexander, Nicole Alexander, and Tyler Alexander, as well as Abigail Wyleta.
